Placement The MARPE appliance is custom-designed and fitted to your upper teeth. Small miniscrews are placed in the palate to anchor the appliance securely. This is a quick, in-office procedure. Activation You’ll gently activate the appliance at home using a small key, as instructed. This gradually widens the upper jaw over time. Monitoring We’ll schedule regular visits to track your progress and ensure everything is moving as planned. Once the desired expansion is achieved, the appliance remains in place temporarily to stabilize the results.
Some pressure or tightness is normal during the first few days of activation, but most patients adjust quickly. Our team will provide guidance to help you stay comfortable throughout the process.
